MUGGING
Street Poetry is a site in which we are very flexible with most things. We have guidelines we would like you to flow with, rather than rules you must worship. We're not going to tell you to kiss everyone's ass or anything like that, 'cause politeness is just common sense. There are, however, a few things you don't really have a choice in if you hope to see a future on Street Poetry. They are listed below.
- Be respectful, goddamnit.
- Past tense, third person only.
- Really and truly this is a fully literate roleplay site. Learn to read and understand that, have proper grammar, spell correctly and don't bore us with long, aimless posts. Keep things tense and exciting, don't make me have to compose a tutorial for good roleplaying skills. try to have at the minimum 250 words. This isn't something you should follow religiously, but keep it in mind that this is what we are expecting of you. If you're twenty words off we won't chew off your head, but don't produce any 100-word replies.
- Street poetry is set in a made-up town. Not New York, not Detriot. If anything, it is mostly based off the youth London, as it's where I live and what I know most of. I couldn't tell you the exact architecture of it, but I know nothing of America. Don't refer to it as any real city. The city this roleplay takes place in has no name, geography doesn't matter.
- Rape happens, killing can occur, swearing is a definite. Street Poetry doesn't support any of this, but it is just a reflection of a real life out there in the real world. rape must be agreed by both roleplayers, killing likewise. Don't swear excessively, that's just annoying >.>;
CHARACTERS & ACCOUNTS
Here we do get a bit more strict and expect more attention to be paid. Most rules and regulations out of character are self-explanatory and I would hope you already knew them by heart already. These are more tetchy and unclear and I think should be expressed more sternly.
- One account per character, three characters per person.
- The gender of your account is the gender of your character, the display name of your account is your characters' first name.
- Some characters may have the same first name or last name, but two names may not be identical. And don't name your characters something totally out-there like "Nik'shai". This isn't an anime roleplay or something fo the sort.
- You may buy another character slot after your third from the brothel.
- You may only roleplay a human being. These humans can be as young as thirteen or as old as thirty, but we prefer the age range to be roughly eighteen to twenty-five. This roleplay is based around the streets and urban children trying to make it through life with a meaning. Family members, such as parents or siblings are NPCs, unless a brother or sister is actively roleplayed by somebody else on the site.
- In-character, racism is tolerated. It's evident that in the music industry revolving around rap, hip-hop and RnB that blacks dominate over whites. As long as you don't go over the line (I doubt I should draw it for you), we will tolerate IC racism. Characters with a black background may openly say 'nigger', though other races should be careful before saying the same.

- Nothing blinding, or clashing with the skin.
- Do not stretch the board! Images that do this will be removed, and you will receive a warning. As a guideline, keet graphics under 500px.
- Avatars may reach a size limit of 150x200 pixels for anyone without being purchased.
- Nothing too graphic. Nude shots are accepted as long as they aren't gruesome. If it's art, we have nothing to say.
MUGGING
Mugging can occur anytime (probably night) and anywhere (probably somewhere dark). If its a one on one attack, you may fight back. Beware, however - if there is a group of people with weapons, you can either forfeit your character or some money. All successful muggings must be PMed to me, with the thread link, and the money will be subtracted from one character and added to the other.
